GREENTEC
Website Design Mockup Project

The Goal of this project was to develop a layout and design that works well in a website editor, looks clean on mobile, and entices customers to look deeper.
A secondary objective of this project was to optimize my skills in developing a themed Ecommerce website that strays from my typical design style in order to adapt to different site types,
The Website is a single page layout with a landing page, about section, a few purchase options, a product page and a contact section, users will have the ability to click the buttons on the page to be navigated to a product order page where they can place an order for their desired product.
The about section features a short story about the brand and their main goals, along with some recent innovations and testimonials from clients, leading seamlessly to the website footer where prospects are encouraged to either get in contact or place an order.
Project Scope
Objectives
Greentec is a fictional Solar Panel Distributor who focusses on high efficiency solar panels for businesses and consumers, the company is on the cutting edge of solar panel development and is excited to share their newest innovations with the world,
The website design was intended to reflect this enthusiasm with technology, as well as feature some of the key components of the solar panels to better inform the target demographic. I developed this project independently in order to showcase my website and graphic design capabilities.
Background
Methodology
Beginning on Canva, the website was designed based off several tech startup websites as well as other solar companies, and using an effective layout for clearly explaining what the product is, what it does, and instructions for purchase, creating a seamless user experience.
Landing page and about sections are added first, as well as the benefits of the product, then some testimonials, features, and FAQs to ensure to customers that the product is trusted and reputable, providing information on how the product/service works in the process.
Then ending with a quick call to action to encourage customers to get started, and a footer with all necessary contact information.

Milestones
The Project was split into 3 parts. Planning, Development, and Implementation. Each milestone was completed within a day of eachother leading to a total development time of 3 days.
The goal was to have a professional website mockup completed with a full summary explaination of the process of development, for my portfolio in order to showcase my design and copywriting capabilities.
Though the project was completed on schedule, the result could have been more refined given extended time.

1. Planning
Planning began by selecting colours and elements that would be included in the design, using stock images and graphics to highlight important elements of the company and it's products. the brand story was developed, providing the groundwork for the website copy.
2. Development
Development started with laying out all main page secrtions on a blank Canva website design page, then filling it in with the customized web copy that was developed in the planning phase, after which the images and graphics are placed, creating a cohesive layout of the information and content.
3. Implementation
Once the website development phase was complete, all design elements were replicated on the wix website development engine and formatted to fit all text and images cleanly within the theme of the website. Links were added and subpages were created in the style of the website to facilitate the sale of the product.
image text and keywords were changed in order to rank site higher on search.

Results
The result of this project was a well-designed, aesthetically pleasing, and minimalist website using relatively little resources or time. Clearly explaining the purpose and benefits of their products, and naturally directs customers to make a purchase through clever marketing tactics within the graphic design and copywriting.
Conclusion
Overally this project was a informative experience in developing my skills in website design, through trial and error, conducting research, and experimenting with different styles of design, the result met my expectations, and if it were applied to an actual business, would likely increase customer perception and lead to higher sales.
